State Register Plaques Sample plaques for properties that are individually listed (left) or included in a historic district listed (right) in the State Register The Rhode Island Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission (RIHPHC) has a plaque program to recognize properties listed in the State Register. If you own a property listed on the State or National Register of Historic Places, you may purchase a plaque to display. Prior to ordering a plaque, property owners must confirm with RIHPHC that the property is listed in the State Register. Visit our State Register page to consult the working list of registered properties. Then fill out the Rhode Island State Register Request form below and submit a copy to RIHPHC via email.
