February is Black History Month

The RI Black Heritage Society is one of the oldest African Heritage organizations in the country. They have preserved historical documents and artifacts of African-American and African decedents' history and accomplishments in Rhode Island.

They are currently featuring an online exhibit Black in Business: African Heritage Entrepreneurs of Newport 18th - 20th centuries.
