Away from Home: Native American Boarding School Stories - Tomaquag Museum

LOCATION: URI campus, 95 Upper College Rd Kingston RI
Tomaquag Museum will be hosting a national touring exhibition called, Away from Home: Native American Boarding School Stories.
Away From Home examines the significant and unknown period of American history when the government aimed to assimilate American Indians into a "civilized" society by placing them in government-operated boarding schools.
The exhibit will be held at the University of Rhode Island from November 10th to January 7th, and it will be open, 10 AM – 4 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.
