2021 State Preservation Grants application The Newport Art Museum, past recipient of a State Preservation Grant. The Rhode Island Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission is accepting applications for 2021 State Preservation Grants (SPG) to support capital preservation projects at museums, cultural art centers, and public historic sites located in historic buildings. Applications are due by October 1, 2021. Award decisions will be announced by December 31, 2021. Before you apply, we invite you to submit an “email of intent.” Email Katherine Pomplun with the following information: Name of organization Name/address of building for which grant is sought Use of building Brief description of potential project(s) We will provide preliminary feedback on your proposed project and guidance on a potential application.
